Gila Wildlife Rescue is a private, nonprofit organization that rehabilitates New Mexico wildlife for release into the wild. They care for between 200 and 500 animals each year. Injured, orphaned, and misplaced wildlife are cared for and released.

They have especially focused on Cajun music in SW Louisiana and, since 1980, have learned from traditional Hispanic, Cowboy, and Tohono O'Odham musicians in New Mexico and Arizona.
